Sales

The Business Development Manager is responsible for business development activities associated with identifying and securing clients for use of Sensuss products in the athletics market segment. The job will require an understanding of athletic groups as well as High School athletics and sporting goods retailers. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in sports and sales in order to relate to, and support, a broad array of clients and product requirements. The primary goal of this position is to develop Sensuss relationships and business opportunities with schools/organizations and retail clients.

  • Travels, by car and/or walking, throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to develop clientele.
  • Develops and maintains outstanding working relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Displays or demonstrates merchandise, using samples, to develop customer’s product knowledge.
  • Expands vertical markets through margin management.
  • Maintains MAP Pricing agreement with Retailers and distributors.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions.
  • Works with Customer Service Representative to ensure customer understands ordering process.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
  • Investigates and resolves customer issues.
  • Attends weekly conference calls and annual company-wide sales and trade conventions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from a 4 year college
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
